Sergiy is 40, born and lives in Ukraine.
Since his childhood was attracted by the idea of book illustration, went into art studios where he learned art, crafts and sculpture. When a student, Sergiy worked as a part-time artist.

After graduating from the Foreign Languages University in 1990 worked as a secondary school teacher of English and German, then leisure trainer and after all - Deputy Principal until 1996. Obsessed with the idea of becoming professional translator and after special translators’ training he started his activity as senior translator and interpreter for the local Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Nine years after he decided to quit and seek his own artistic way. Running a small consulting- and translation bureau he is now a private entrepreneur, freelance illustrator and translator. He also teaches English in a vocational school.

When saw his first Winnetou movie, Sergiy started drawing Karl May characters.
Getting acquainted with Karl May original and translated works the appeal became even stronger. To make the illustrated book of Karl May adventures became his ever-lasting dream since then.

The Orient Odyssey Illustrated Adventures (I) is his first mutual project with the Nemsi Books.

Sergiy hopes his junior is going to like it, as well as many children all around the world, to whom Karl May once addressed his message of a brotherhood of men. To view Sergiy's work and free fun cutouts for kids, please go to http://nemsi-books.com/Just_for_Kids.htm
